The Golf Swing Mechanics For Maximum Power
Written by Administrator

Golf Swing Mechanics

There isn't a golfer alive that doesn't want to be able to add distance to their golf game. But what are the proper golf swing mechanics that allow that to happen?

Power in your golf swing comes from the transfer of your weight from the back to front, the acceleration of the the pivot and thrust into the golf ball.

Here is an important point you don't want to miss: hitting the ball further is not a matter of accelerating your arms through the 'hit' zone.  This will cause a lack of control and a loss of tempo. If you use this golf swing mechanic, your golf swing will be out of control in no time flat.

The ideal golf swing mechanic to achieve a power swing is to allow the arms and hands to follow the natural initial thrust of the hips (rotation) into the ball.  Allow your hips to lead the arms and hands naturally into the hit zone in one smooth movement.  The golf swing is initiated with the turn/thrust into the golf ball; not with the arms/hands.

When you perfect this particular golf swing mechanic, you will have achieved the ability to consisently hit the golf ball for distance.  And, if you insist on gaining distance from your hands and arms, you'll never be able to consistenly take your golf game to the next level.

Remember, the proper golf swing mechanic for consistent distance; it's all in the hips. That is the base of power in any golf swing.
