Practice Guidelines for the Perfect Golf Swing
Written by Administrator

The Perfect Golf Swing

Here’s a general outline to use for the perfect golf swing:

1) Before you head out of practice, decide what you’re going to work on in that particular session.  Give yourself ten minutes to quietly picture the result you want.  It’s your imagination, so make everything perfect.  This ten minutes is important, because it allows you to create your golf swing, and not just make it something that happens to you.  Make sense?

2) Begin your practice sessions slowly.   Begin with your short game and work your way up.  Start off with the simple stuff before moving on to the stuff that gives you problems.

3) Make sure you set up a target area for your practice sessions.  Do not ever swing your golf club randomly.  Define a purpose and execute it.

4) When setting up a target, focus all your attention on the smallest portion of that target: a corner, a small dot, anything.  This pushes the mind to focus and blocks out all the extraneous crap.

5) Don’t ever over exert yourself.  You know your body.  You know when fatigue is setting in and the time as come to call it a day.  If you stay out and practice beyond the point of fatigue, you’re allowing a lot of bad habits to enter.

I realize this outline is general; it was intended to be.  The perfect golf swing isn’t something that can be explained in a few hundred words.  If you’ll stuff all the golf swing machinations you know (and trust) into this simple outline, you should benefit and be well on your way to finding the golf swing that is perfect for you.
